Theo's Cake Smash

Theo’s Smash Session has us laughing the entire time. Theo is a serious boy. I have so many tricks to get kids attention. So many silly noises. So many funny sounds. So many crazy faces. And still, dear sweet Theo is never impressed with me.

It actually makes me feel a little bit better that when mom and dad try he also looks at them like they’re crazy. Which only causes the adults in the room to laugh more and Theo to continue mean-mugging us. He gave us some very typical Theo faces during his Traditional photos. Then he continued being typical Theo throughout the cake smash.

Maybe the faces were because it was all too good to be true. We told him to get messy and eat all the cake which is not how a typical day goes. Little did Theo know that our Bossier City Photography Studio is a magical place where one year olds get to eat cake any day of the week and any time of the day! Us adults also had a blast playing “throw the hat on Theo”.

It’s kind of like a one year old version of riding a bull! We take turns putting the hat back on Theo’s head and hope it stays on long enough to get an adorable picture. I feel like we succeeded there!

Then suddenly something amazing happened. We moved out the cake and put Theo in a bubble bath and that unmoving serious face turned into the most delightful smile.

He splashed and made his little heart happy and we all smiled just as big. It was definitely a great session for the books.
