Emma Cake Smash- Mermaid

Emma's mom contacted me about doing a cake smash for her little girl for her first birthday. We went back-and-forth between a couple themes but in the end mom decided on a mermaid cake smash session! When Emma came into the Bossier City studio she was a little nervous at first but she warmed up after the first couple of minutes and we got some seriously adorable smiles.

Just like all my cake smash sessions, we started off with traditional photos which mom requested be in an adorable mermaid outfit they had picked up.

Emma was moved to her cake smash set up and put in front of her mermaid cake.

Emma took her time but she was definitely happy to get some of that frosting in her mouth.

I got plenty of time to explore and enjoy her cake and then we put her in a strawberry and milk bath! I love the variety in my cake smash session because parents get to decide all they want to remember their little ones first birthday.

Emma absolutely adored her milk bath. She had a lot of fun eating the strawberries and splashing around.
